Designs that Spark Inspiration
Project One
Park Avenue Penthouse
New York City, New York
Summary
Invisible speakers were used in key areas so as not to conflict with the décor. iPads and touch panels were used to create a custom lighting theme. Touching a picture of room components simply and efficiently activates lights and sets them to the desired level.
We custom engineered an interface to match their phone system to the building’s intercom system, thus eliminating the need for a second set of phones.

Project Two
Park Avenue Penthouse, NYC
New York City, New York
Summary
The owners of this eight-room penthouse on the Upper East Side wanted their technology to match their minimalist décor. As you walk around, you’ll see no thermostats, light switches, cable boxes or unnecessary remote controls. Speakers in the main common rooms were custom built into lighting channels to remain unseen; other speakers were specifically selected to match the lighting. All home audio video equipment is centrally located in a single home media room equipment rack, leaving each room with just a television and single Savant universal remote control. The entire apartment—lights, shades, HVAC, alarm, distributed audio video—can be controlled from any Apple IOS or Android device, or remotely from the road in the Darien, CT area.

Project Three
Penthouse Triplex
Tribeca, New York City, New York
Summary
The customers desired a system which was easy to use, intuitive, simple and powerful. As this is not their primary residence, the system needed to be user friendly for guests.
We installed a Savant home automation system accompanied by a Lutron HomeWorks QS lighting and Sivoia QS motorized shades system.
Energy savings was a top priority as the New York City apartment boasts 1,900 sq/ft of floor to ceiling windows. We used motorized sun shades in all of the rooms, with the addition of motorized blackout shades in each of the four the bedrooms.
They needed to be able to control all lighting and shades from anywhere in or out of the apartment. In addition to having an iPhone app, keypads were installed in all of the key locations allowing them to trigger a variety of scenes. The Lutron HomeWorks system allowed them to control of all of their illuminated and natural light from anywhere.
A series of IP motorized PTZ security cameras were installed so that the homeowners could keep an eye on things while they are away.
